AI automation consulting for businesses in Australia

autenflo is a remote-first business, technology and AI consulting company that works with Australian teams, in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and elsewhere, to identify repetitive work and build workflow automation. We do not claim a local office.

Why Australia has its own considerations

From 10 December 2026, organisations covered by the Privacy Act 1988 must state in their privacy policy if they use a computer program, including AI, to make or substantially assist decisions that could significantly affect individuals. The policy must describe the kinds of personal information used and the kinds of decisions made. This is a transparency requirement, not a ban. It applies only to organisations the Act already covers, and many small businesses with turnover under $3 million are outside it, although some exceptions exist.

What that means for automation

Most business automation, such as scheduling reminders or matching invoices, is unlikely to make significant decisions about individuals. Workflows that screen applicants, assess credit or sort customers in ways that affect their access to services deserve closer attention. When designing a workflow, we flag where a decision affects a person, keep a human check in place, and note what your privacy policy may need to say. Confirm your own position with a privacy lawyer.

Workflows that suit Australian teams

Typical starting points are lead follow-up and qualification, CRM data hygiene, invoice processing, reporting and onboarding. Our delivery is remote, so we plan meeting times around Australian time zones.

How autenflo works with you

We map your process on a call, build and test the automation ourselves, and you approve it before anything goes live. Anything uncertain or high-stakes is flagged to a person. Most first workflows are live in 2–4 weeks, depending on the number of tools and steps.

Frequently asked questions

Does the new Australian rule ban automated decisions?

No. It requires disclosure in your privacy policy for automated decisions that could significantly affect individuals, if you are covered by the Privacy Act.

Does my small business have to comply?

It depends on whether the Privacy Act covers you. Turnover under $3 million often means it does not, but there are exceptions. Ask a privacy lawyer.

Do you have an Australian office?

No local office is claimed. autenflo is remote-first.
