AI automation consulting for businesses in East Africa
autenflo is a remote-first business, technology and AI consulting company that works with teams in East Africa to identify repetitive work and build workflow automation. We do not claim local offices; delivery is remote.
Why the region has its own considerations
Several East African tax authorities require invoices or receipts to pass through their own systems. According to published guidance: Kenya uses the Kenya Revenue Authority's eTIMS system, and from 2026 expenses not backed by a valid eTIMS invoice may not be deductible. Uganda uses EFRIS, whose use was extended from 1 July 2025 to businesses in 12 specified sectors, in addition to VAT-registered taxpayers. Tanzania uses electronic fiscal devices and virtual fiscal devices reporting to the Tanzania Revenue Authority. Rwanda uses electronic billing machines linked to the Rwanda Revenue Authority. Rules for other countries in the region differ, and we do not cover them here.
What that means for automation
Invoice and receipt workflows should fit each country's system. autenflo does not replace those systems; we automate the steps around them, such as capturing order data, preparing invoices, routing approvals and matching supplier invoices to what was ordered. Confirm current rules with the relevant revenue authority or a local accountant.
Payments and messaging
Where your customers pay by mobile money, reconciling those payments against orders and invoices is often a manual task worth mapping. Many teams also run customer conversations over WhatsApp. Typical starting points are WhatsApp enquiry handling with CRM logging, lead follow-up and payment-to-invoice matching.
One regional page
Because tax systems differ by country, separate country pages are only worth publishing when we have distinct, verified content for them. For now this page covers the region.

How autenflo works with you
We map your process on a call, build and test the automation ourselves, and you approve it before anything goes live. Anything uncertain or high-stakes is flagged to a person. Most first workflows are live in 2–4 weeks, depending on the number of tools and steps.
