Why the UAE has its own considerations
Automation in finance and operations here is shaped by the UAE's move to mandatory electronic invoicing. According to published guidance, the Ministry of Finance framework began a pilot and voluntary phase on 1 July 2026. Businesses with annual revenue of AED 50 million or more must appoint an accredited service provider (ASP) by 30 October 2026 and start on 1 January 2027, while other businesses follow later, with a start expected from 1 July 2027. The system applies to business-to-business and business-to-government invoices, and business-to-consumer transactions are outside scope for now.
What that means for invoice automation
Invoices under the UAE model must be exchanged in a structured format through an approved ASP. autenflo is not an ASP. Our role is the workflow around it: getting order and customer data to your invoicing tool cleanly, routing approvals, matching supplier invoices and flagging exceptions, so your ASP receives good data. Confirm current dates and your own category with the Federal Tax Authority, the Ministry of Finance or your adviser.
Dubai, Abu Dhabi and other emirates
VAT and e-invoicing rules are federal, so the same considerations apply across the emirates. That is why this is one page and not a page per city. Free zone companies should confirm any zone-specific requirements with their adviser.
